I started JMT with one straightforward goal: do right by the customer and finish every job to a standard I'm proud of. Nineteen years later, that hasn't changed. We bring our own ideas to every project too, because the best homes always have a bit of character.

The things homeowners usually want to know.

Most single-storey rear extensions take twelve to sixteen weeks on site once we start. Two-storey extensions and side-and-rear wraps usually run sixteen to twenty-four weeks. We'll give you a week-by-week schedule with your written quote, and update it every Friday so you always know what's next.
As a rough guide for 2026: a single-storey rear extension typically lands between £45,000 and £85,000 depending on size, finish and groundworks. Two-storey extensions sit around £80,000 to £150,000. Loft conversions usually run £40,000 to £70,000. Once we've visited your home we can give you a fixed, line-by-line written quote, not an estimate.

For most extensions and loft conversions we work alongside a trusted local architect. We can introduce you, handle the planning application and all the council sign-offs, and bring everything together so you're not chasing three different people for answers.
Three things, mostly. We're small enough that the same team starts and finishes your home. We give a fixed written quote, not a moving estimate. And we back everything with twelve months of aftercare, so if a hinge sticks in the first year, we come back without quibbling.
